Birmingham Verticality

verticality (adjective) being in a position or direction perpendicular to the plane of the horizon; upright; plumb.

Birmingham, like most large, modern metropolises, has its fair share of tall buildings. These may not be on the scale (and height) of New York, London or Hong Kong but nonetheless the last few years have seen a number of significant buildings appear on the cities skyline.

Going back over my image library of the last year or so I was surprised how many of these buildings I have captured from ground level looking up as vertically as possible. So much so I’ve decided to start work on a Birmingham Verticality project. Here are some recent, and some older, images to kick off that project.
