Sometimes less really is more when it comes to trying to capture the essence of a building. Especially if that building has an “iconic” status and has probably been captured thousands, or even millions. of times before.

Here are some of the more iconic buildings to be found around Birmingham’s city centre photographed on a crisp Spring day where I’ve tried  to capture their essence.
