I know 2013 is not quite over yet but I have put together a few of my favourite black and white portraits from 2013. Since March of this year I have been shooting exclusively with the superlative Olympus OM-D EM-5. I know this now has a big brother, the EM-1, but for me the EM-5 is pretty much perfection in a camera and I cannot see why I would want to replace it for a while yet. Whilst the EM-1 looks to be an extremely impressive camera I just love the look, feel, size and quality of the images that is the EM-5. That said, as we are always telling ourselves, it’s not about the camera, its what you do with it that counts, so here are my favourite black and white portraits I captured with this camera during 2013. Most of these were taken at the wonderful Tip Top Photography studio in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham.
