Friday Foto – 23 XII 16

This is a new idea. Each Friday I’ll post a photo (or two or three) that I’ve taken that week with a few words about what, when, where and why.

This week I spent a few days in Devon. Considering it was the start of December, and even for South-West England, the weather was remarkably warm resulting in some early morning mists but days with clear blue skies. An ideal combination for some moody, misty shots as well as typical picture postcard stuff.

Greenway was the holiday home of the English crime fiction writer Agatha Christie (creator of Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot ) and is now owned by The National Trust. Normally in the summer this place is heaving with tourists so it was nice to visit on a quiet day and get some images with no people around. A little bit more like it was when Agatha Christie was in residence maybe, tapping out her latest Miss Marple on her typewriter..

All images taken with a Fujifilm X100T and processed in Lightroom only.
